The Bible says in Mark 16:15 “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.”
We need to get the seed out of the barn! At Truth Baptist Church, it is our goal to extend a Gospel invitation to all the inhabitants of Mechanicsville. Door-to-door weekly visitation efforts, personal visits, and mail-outs are just some of the methods we use to bring the Gospel to our neighbors.
Music Ministry
Colossians 3:16 “Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.”
Music is a special tool that God created for the purpose of glorifying Christ and edifying believers. At Truth Baptist Church, we use music just that way; through congregational singing, Sunday night orchestra accompaniment, special music, instrumental specials, seasonal cantatas and other various methods throughout the year.
Hospital, Nursing Home and Widow Visitation
Some of the members of our church, both young and old, have taken on the responsibility of helping our Pastor in visiting and caring for our widows, shut-ins, sickly, and hospital residents. This is true religion. It is true that many times as members take part in serving this way that they go back to their homes with a blessing themselves. God will bless the church that cares for the needy and helpless.
Van Ministry
Luke 14:23 “…Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.”
Our goal is to reach out to those in our community, especially children. One of the best ways to reach our neighbors is to provide a way for them to attend our services. The Lord has used this ministry to reach children and families with the Gospel Love of the Lord Jesus Christ.
