    THE WAY TO HEAVEN

We have Good News for You!

Let’s be honest, we all have questions about God don’t we? What happens when I die? Where will I spend eternity? The single most important question that you will ever answer is this – “When I die, would I spend eternity in Heaven with God?” Well, I have good news. Your relationship to Jesus Christ is The Answer to that question.

The Bible tells us in I John 5:13, “These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life…” God is not playing “hide-and-seek” with you. He wants you to know where you’re going.

First, you must understand that there is a need in your life. Like you have heard before, if you are not willing to admit there is a problem, you cannot be helped. The Bible is very clear that we all have a big problem called sin. Romans 3:23 says it this way, “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” This verse simply means that none of us are perfect. We have all done things that break God’s law. Are you willing to admit that?

Sure, we have all sinned, so how much “good” must I do to fix my wrong-doings? Truthfully, you cannot do enough good, because just like someone that breaks a civil law in our society in America, he must pay for his crime! Friend, sin has a high price tag. Romans 6:23a says, “For the wages of sin is death…” In other words, the price for sin is eternal death apart from God in a place called Hell! Because of our sin, none of us can make it into Heaven on our own. Now this is where many stop listening, and where many reject. No one likes to hear of their condition. Well let’s say I was a doctor, and I knew that you had terminal cancer. Wouldn’t you want to know?! Of course you would; but imagine if I not only knew your problem, but had the 100% cure for it! Would I be a hateful person for wanting to share it with you? Would you reject that cure? No, that would be foolish. The Bible says in Psalms 14:1, “The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God…

Thankfully that is not the end of Romans 6:23! Here’s the good news friend. God sent help! The rest of the verse says, “…but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Again in Romans 5:8 God says, “But God commendeth His love toward us in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us!” Do you know any other friend like this?

You must believe that Jesus Christ wants to be your Saviour! Jesus Christ came to earth as God in flesh, lived a perfect life, and then voluntarily died on a cross, and rose from the tomb three days later… FOR YOU! Friend, this is not just a cute story. It is true, historically and biblically. Did you know that every time you write the date on a check, you admit the existence of Christ! Now why would Jesus die for your sin? The answer is hard to comprehend, but it is because He loves you! On that cross, He literally paid for all of your sins. He took your blame upon Himself! He punished Himself for your wrong-doings. He died with YOU in mind! What a great gift!

John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” God, in His love, came to earth to make a way for you to be forgiven of your sins. Not only that, but He offers the gift of eternal life, life forever in Heaven with God!

So now that you know all this, are you safe? The biblical answer to that is an emphatic “No!” Knowing truth doesn’t set you free from guilt and give you eternal life, for many simply know this truth. The question is this, WHAT WILL YOU DO WITH THIS TRUTH? Romans 10:13 says, “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” You must place your full trust in Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour. In verse ten of that same chapter God says, “For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” Can it be so simple? God’s answer is in His Word, and He has spoken! He says it’s as simple as repenting, believing, and receiving!
If you’ve never asked Jesus Christ to be your personal Saviour, you could do that right now! You can stop the worrying, the fear, the guilt! Let me invite you to stop right now where you are and sincerely pray something like this:

Lord Jesus, I believe that You are God, that You died for my sin, and that You rose again from the dead. I know that I am a sinner, and I ask You now to be my personal Saviour. I’m placing my full trust in You alone, and I now accept Your gift of eternal life. Thank you for keeping Your promise! Amen.

John 1:12 “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
