membership_1In the Early church age, The Bible records for us that after the Apostle Peter preached at Pentecost, three-thousand souls were gloriously saved.  Acts 2:41 records for us what happened next.  In this verse, the Word of God states: “Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.”

The Bible makes it clear that the requirement for church membership is Salvation and Baptism. Therefore, in order to be a member of Truth Baptist Church, one must be saved and baptized.

Obeying the Lord in believer’s baptism at our church after salvation completes the membership for an individual at Truth Baptist Church. However, membership can also be obtained by a statement of faith, or by way of transferred membership confirmed by a letter from the current church home.

When one joins by statement of faith, he or she is doing so with the understanding that they have already been saved and baptized previously at a church of like faith and practice.

Joining by way of letter is the official way that our church receives a new member whose membership has remained active at another church of like faith and practice.

If you would like to join our church, then respond during the invitation by coming to the front and receiving Christ as your savior. Someone will show you from God’s word how you can be saved, and know for sure that you have a home for eternity in Heaven. After you have taken the next step of Baptism, then you have officially joined and have become a member of Truth Baptist Church.

membership_3If you have already made this decision, then specify to the Pastor whether you wish to join by statement of faith or way of letter transfer. Once you have done this and affirmed that you have already been saved and baptized at a church of like faith or practice, our church body will corporately receive you as a member into our church.
